About the TeacherHello! I began teaching in the late 1980's. I graduated from Sacramento State then earned my teaching credential from National University. As a graduate of the Elk Grove School District, I was excited to begin my first teaching position in that district. I taught there for eleven years then left when my son was three to be home with him. During the next four years I taught part time for two home school groups focusing on history and science classes. When my son reached third grade, I decided it was time to go back to work. I made a big move and was hired to teach fifth grade in Las Vegas. This experience, near many of the arts, lead me to make another move, this time to the state of Oregon where I co-founded a youth musical theater group. My teaching career continued in Oregon while the theater grew more and more esteem in the region. Now, after being away from family for so long, it was time to come home. I was hired here at Sierra last year and am loving being a part of the Sierra family and community. I am looking forward to another fabulous year with students! |
